AiroQue / QMS Pulse
Product
AiroQue QMS Pulse for SAP
A subscription for teams that already run quality in SAP. Pulse watches pending quality notifications, notifies the right people, and shows where the queue is aging — so Quality Engineers spend less time hunting inboxes and more time closing the record.
1.0 Problem
Quality notifications sit. Ownership is unclear. Aging is invisible.
In SAP, the quality notification exists. The work still stalls: unassigned items, overdue items no one is watching, and a metrics picture that only appears when someone builds a spreadsheet for the weekly meeting.
Notifications pile up
Open quality notifications wait for assignment, wait for action, and wait again for close. The system of record does not chase the people who owe the next step.
Tasks hide in inboxes
Senior QEs hunt mail and SAP lists to find what is pending. Juniors cannot take first-pass work because the context — program, part, order — is not sitting next to the task.
No living quality matrix
Cycle time, aging, and SLA breach rates are reconstructed after the fact. Bottlenecks by plant, program, or role are argued in meetings instead of read from the queue.
2.0 What Pulse does
SAP-connected QMS automation and tracking.
Pulse connects to your SAP quality notifications. It surfaces pending work, routes and escalates when items sit, and records time-in-state so you can see backlog depth, aging, and bottlenecks without building another status pack.
- Notify owners of pending quality tasks before work goes stale.
- Auto-route and escalate notifications so QEs are not hunting an inbox.
- Give every item a clear owner and a due date.
- Keep a visible queue so status meetings are no longer the only source of truth.
- Improve the quality metrics / matrix from the live SAP queue, not a rebuilt spreadsheet.
QMS Pulse currently supports SAP only (SAP ERP / QMS quality notifications). It is not a multi-ERP product and does not claim connectors for other systems.

3.0 What you’ll need
Three things you provide so Pulse can run.
QMS Pulse is a SAP-only subscription starting at $1,500 / month. It is not documentation consulting. To stand the program up, the customer provides a dedicated host, a dedicated SAP user that can pull new quality notifications, and a directory so notices reach the right people.
A dedicated machine
An always-on, dedicated host for the program. Pulse is a standing service, not a shared desktop utility. It needs a machine that stays up so the quality-notification queue can be watched continuously.
A dedicated SAP user
A dedicated SAP user account so the program can actively pull new QM12 reports — quality notifications — from your SAP QMS. Pulse does not share an interactive login; it needs its own account with access to those reports.
Employees and emails
A directory of employees and emails so pending-task notices and routing can reach the right people. Without names and addresses, Pulse cannot assign or escalate the queue.
These are customer-side prerequisites. They are not extra product fees. SAP connect / setup, when needed, is quoted separately from the $1,500 / month starting subscription.
4.0 How it works
Four steps from the SAP queue to a living picture of the work.
Pulse does not replace SAP. It watches the quality notifications you already raise there, then tells people what is waiting and how long it has been waiting.
Connect to SAP quality notifications
Point Pulse at the quality-notification objects your plants already use. Pulse is built for SAP; that is the current scope.
Watch open, assigned, in-work, and overdue items
The queue is read as a set of states, not a static list. Time-in-state starts when a notification is opened and follows it to close.
Notify, route, and escalate
Owners get pending-task notices. Unowned or aging work is routed and escalated so senior QEs are not the triage inbox.
Read cycle time, aging, and bottlenecks
Backlog depth, median age, SLA breach rates, and workload heat update as the queue moves — by plant, program, category, person, and team.
5.0 Free up QE time
Protect senior QEs from triage. Give juniors a first-pass they can actually take.
The point of Pulse is not another dashboard. It is fewer hours spent finding the work, and more hours spent closing it.
Auto-route and escalate
Pending quality notifications move to an owner, then escalate when they sit. QEs are not hunting mail or SAP lists to discover what is waiting.
Clear ownership and due dates
Every open item has a person and a date. Ambiguous “quality will look at it” queues become a named next step.
A visible queue instead of status meetings
Who holds what, and for how long, is readable without a round-the-table update. Meetings can review exceptions, not reconstruct the list.
Juniors take first-pass with context
SAP context travels with the task — program, part, order — so a junior QE can open the right record first. Senior QEs stay on the items that actually need them.
6.0 Cycle time and bottlenecks
Documented time-in-state, not a rebuilt spreadsheet.
Pulse records how long each notification spends opened, assigned, in work, and closed — then rolls that into aging, SLA breach, bottleneck, and workload views.
Time-in-state
Opened → assigned → in work → closed, per notification type. Cycle time is measured, not estimated in the meeting.
Aging and SLA breach
How old is the queue, and what is breaching, by plant, program, and category — without a one-off extract.
Bottleneck map
Which step or role holds the queue the longest. The constraint is visible before it becomes a customer or audit conversation.
Workload heat
Capacity by person and team, not just an item count. Overloaded owners show up as heat, not as a surprise at month-end.
Trends week over week
Backlog depth and median age, tracked over time, so the quality matrix moves with the work instead of being rebuilt for each review.
A living quality matrix
Metrics come from the SAP queue Pulse is already watching. The picture is current because the notifications are current.
7.0 Aerospace context
Extras that matter on a regulated shop floor.
Pulse is built for quality teams that already live in SAP and already answer to programs, parts, and auditors. These are operating features — not a certification, and not a claim that AiroQue certifies anyone to AS9100.
Audit-ready action trail
Who took the action, and when. A trail you can show, without claiming that Pulse is a certified QMS or that AiroQue performs third-party audits.
SAP context on the task
Program, part, and order sit with the pending item so a QE opens the right SAP record first instead of searching for it.
Recurring and overdue patterns
The same notification types, plants, or owners lighting up again are flagged early — before the backlog becomes the story.
This is not documentation consulting
QMS Pulse does not write Control Plans, PFMEA, process flow diagrams, inspection plans, or work instructions. It does not replace an APQP package or a production-readiness review. Those remain documentation services — typically quoted as fixed-price projects.
Pulse is a separate product: a recurring subscription for teams that already raise quality notifications in SAP and need the queue watched, routed, and measured.
If you need a document written, start on Services. If you need the SAP quality queue visible and moving, you are in the right place.
8.0 Subscription
Starting at $1,500 / month.
$1,500 / month to start
QMS Pulse is a recurring subscription, not a one-time product fee. Documentation services on this site are typically fixed-price projects. Pulse is ongoing access for the SAP quality teams who will use it.
